MSc Risk Management
The MSc in Risk Management is a 120 credit taught programme as per the PGDip, and an additional 60 credit research project. The taught component consists of 4 modules studied full time over one year or part time over two years. Depending on selection of pathway modules it may be necessary for part time programmes to attend the University on more than one day, (but it should always be possible to select at least one module combination that allows part time study on a single day to facilitate day release for students who are in employment – it simply will restrict the choices available). As with the other courses on offer, students gain a thorough grounding in the principles of risk management (through the multi-disciplinary core modules) and research methods, and those wishing to proceed to the MSc select modules reflecting their specialised interests (for example in management, health & safety, environment, finance, social policy or psychology) and then complete an independent research project on their chosen topic. We review this provision continuously and have access to many other modules within the postgraduate provision of the University. If you do not feel that the current list offers what you are looking for please contact us to discuss other possibilities. Qualifications Required
