Postgraduate Diploma in Risk Management

The Postgraduate Diploma in Risk Management is a 120 credit taught programme consisting of 4 modules studied full time over one year or part time over two years. Depending on selection of pathway modules it may be necessary for part time students to attend the University on more than one day, (but it should always be possible to select at least one module combination that allows part time study on a single day to facilitate day release for students who are in employment – it simply will restrict the choices available).

After a thorough grounding in the principles of risk management in the multi-disciplinary core modules, students wishing to proceed to the Postgraduate Diploma in Risk Management study a further module in research methods, and select options reflecting their specialised interests. Students of risk management come from many backgrounds and will seek to apply it in a number of different sectors. We therefore provide a range of pathways that service different needs. Current examples of what we offer include the following:

  • Management,
  • Health and Safety,
  • Environment,
  • Finance,
  • Social Policy,
  • Psychology.
We review this provision continuously and have access to many other modules within the postgraduate provision of the University. If you do not feel that the current list offers what you are looking for please contact us to discuss other possibilities
