RESEARCH
Research (in the broadest sense of the word) is a substantial and highly significant part of sonic arts activity here at Middlesex. All our staff are research-active in one way or another and this work takes place under the aegis of the Lansdown Centre for Electronic Arts (a designated Middlesex University research centre). This research culture directly informs our teaching and the work of our students at every level: from our perspective, it's just as appropriate for undergraduates to be involved in research as it is for those studying for higher degrees and even research fellows and professors !
On a practical level, our MA programme is essentially research-based and we also have a number of MPhil and PhD students undertaking their work with us all under the supervision of the head of the Lansdown Centre, Dr Stephen Boyd Davis and our senior research fellow, Dr John Dack. Please contact either of them for more information about research opportunities.
Our researches take many forms from exhibitions and performances to books and conference papers. Please follow the right hand column link to see some of our published works.
